I don’t have a lot of time to do this, so if you find any errors in this post, please forgive me. The reason I want to blog real quick, is because the two bible verses that I want to share won’t fit in one twitter tweet of 140 characters. These are the two verses:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:11-12
It’s slightly complicated and I’m not an expert on the subject, but as of late, prophetically the almond tree has been jumping out at me. Moreover, just now the whole almond experience boiled over and I wanted to make it known.
Recently, through a Jewish Jewels newsletter, I’ve basically come to understand how the Hebraic calender works: Each month is around 30 days and starts with a new moon. It is a brilliant and easy system to understand, if you ask me.
At the moment we are in the month of Shevat (the year 5770) and this past Saturday marked the 15th day of the month. If you take a look at the wikipedia article on the month of Shevat, you will notice the picture of the almond tree to the right. Underneath the picture reads this:
Tu Bishvat, the New Year of the Trees, occurs
on the 15th of Shevat, which coincides with
the flowering of the almond tree in Israel.
I want to highlight this in the above sentence: “…the flowering of the almond tree in Israel.”
Perhaps now you may have started to understand why I wanted to share Jeremiah 1:11-12, but what really turned up the heat is this email from Glory of Zion (which I still have not even finished reading yet): 28 Day – See Past Poverty!!: Day 1 – Feb 01, 2010.
When I started reading about the almond tree in that email, I remembered my new ElijahSeasons 2009/2010 16-Month Calendar and the new scripture for the month of February. What’s the scripture? You guessed it:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:11-12
Because I find blogging to be so time consuming (and not really rewarding in any way I can see tangibly), I have not been doing it very much lately. However, I have found myself to be very active on twitter and facebook as of late, so feel free to try and catch me either of those places if you find this blog a bit outdated at times.
In conclusion, I suppose I will leave you with a bible verse I overheard Prophet Charles sharing with someone the other day:
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22
In Jesus name, today, may that blessing be yours! – Tim
