Financial Advancements

Recently I had a desire to find an old church tape that I listened to a few years ago, and upon finding it after a bit of searching, I popped it into a tape player to hear Mac Barnes speaking on the subject of wealth.

Curious if I could find Mac on the Internet, I did in fact on youtube:

Part 1

Part 2

An Almond Branch

I don’t have a lot of time to do this, so if you find any errors in this post, please forgive me. The reason I want to blog real quick, is because the two bible verses that I want to share won’t fit in one twitter tweet of 140 characters. These are the two verses:

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:11-12

It’s slightly complicated and I’m not an expert on the subject, but as of late, prophetically the almond tree has been jumping out at me. Moreover, just now the whole almond experience boiled over and I wanted to make it known.

Recently, through a Jewish Jewels newsletter, I’ve basically come to understand how the Hebraic calender works: Each month is around 30 days and starts with a new moon. It is a brilliant and easy system to understand, if you ask me.

At the moment we are in the month of Shevat (the year 5770) and this past Saturday marked the 15th day of the month. If you take a look at the wikipedia article on the month of Shevat, you will notice the picture of the almond tree to the right. Underneath the picture reads this:

Tu Bishvat, the New Year of the Trees, occurs
on the 15th of Shevat, which coincides with
the flowering of the almond tree in Israel.

I want to highlight this in the above sentence: “…the flowering of the almond tree in Israel.

Perhaps now you may have started to understand why I wanted to share Jeremiah 1:11-12, but what really turned up the heat is this email from Glory of Zion (which I still have not even finished reading yet): 28 Day – See Past Poverty!!: Day 1 – Feb 01, 2010.

When I started reading about the almond tree in that email, I remembered my new ElijahSeasons 2009/2010 16-Month Calendar and the new scripture for the month of February. What’s the scripture? You guessed it:

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:11-12

Because I find blogging to be so time consuming (and not really rewarding in any way I can see tangibly), I have not been doing it very much lately. However, I have found myself to be very active on twitter and facebook as of late, so feel free to try and catch me either of those places if you find this blog a bit outdated at times.

In conclusion, I suppose I will leave you with a bible verse I overheard Prophet Charles sharing with someone the other day:

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22

In Jesus name, today, may that blessing be yours! – Tim

Pottery Skills

The destination being Sparta Middle School, today I went up with Tilly’s Kids to Sparta, NJ. As usual the kids had fun and (with some of the kids) surprisingly, I was able to dust off my long-ago mastered pottery skills…. I posted a picture on twitter, just for this post, of this professional piece of art, which can be viewed at: 2009 Jesus.

Is Divine Healing For Today?

If you don’t think so, I challenge you to watch a recent episode of Sid Roth’s: It’s Supernatural. I attempted to embed this video into this post but was unable to find an option, so to watch, visit: Linda Josef (December 7-13, 2009).

Unfinished Buisness

It’s late but I wanted to inform you that there are still posts on this blog I need to edit and review. For the past few hours I have been changing a few things online, such as the theme of this blog and so on, but I know there is a lot in this blog I’d like to really polish.

However, I’d like to say that the changes I have been able to make tonight, I am very pleased with. I changed the name of this blog (again, this time to “Pursuing the Call”) and the theme to a journalistic one (which in a way I think I might favor in the long run).

I don’t really want to write much more, but I just wanted to share a little bit about what I have been up. So, be blessed – Timothy

2010 Kenyan Safari

My only real goal for 2010 is to visit Africa, and though I am eying Kenya, nothing is set in stone. However, perhaps I’m leaning toward Kenya since I’ve occasionally studied Swahili. For example:

Habari zenu? (How are you all?)

Anyway, feeling a sudden urgency to prepare, I just wanted to quickly blog about my 2010 goal. After all, 2010 will be here before we know it, won’t it?

Serena Williams Owns Tennis

Twitter has afforded me the luxury of randomly stumbling upon experiences I’d never of had without Twitter’s existence. For example, this Estelle video:

A couple of days ago, the name Estelle had no meaning to me, but now a British rap-rocking singer has been forever etched into my brain.

How did this happen? If you must know, I have to blame Serena Williams (it’s a long story…). But, while we are on the subject of Serena Williams, did you see her in this video at a Green Day concert?

Wow! All I gotta say: Serena Williams owns tennis but needs to let the pros make music videos.

It takes 2 to Tango

After watching Al Pacino rip up the dance floor in Scent of a Woman, I suddenly had a weird craving to learn how to Tango. Though it takes two to Tango…I found three places online to satisfy my curiosity.

The first stop was a google search of “how to tango,” and I quickly found this eHow article: How to Tango.

That was a good place to start, but I still needed more information in general on the Tango itself. Like expected and without fail, I found the targeted information in this article at the ever popular, free Internet encyclopedia we have all come to know and love: Tango (at wikipedia).

After soaking up as much information about the Tango that I could tackle at wikipedia, I knew my journey would not be complete without a YouTube video. After googling Tango again and tapping the video tab, I shouldn’t have been surprised to see Jennifer Lopez nearly destroy Richard Gere in this Tango explosion:

In conclusion, indeed as they say, “it takes two to Tango,” so choose your next dance moves wisely.

A Darren Rows Video

This video kind of made me chuckle a bit (seems I’ve been doing a lot of that lately).

Podcasting Determination

Wouldn’t you agree that title is playful? Well, today at “the mission” brother John gave a message relating to determination in our walk with the Lord. And because at the moment I’m itching to podcast something of quality here on this blog, I’m going to podcast John’s message of Determination:
